Track rent in the ledger
Record each month as paid, partial or unpaid for an accurate balance — the engine behind late alerts, N4s and Equifax reporting.
How it works
Open Rent Management → Rent Ledger & Payments. Each month has a row you mark paid, partial or unpaid. The clean, decluttered ledger shows a running balance that powers your late alerts, one-click N4s and Equifax reporting.
Marking a month paid
- Click Paid in full and, if you don't enter an amount, it fills the full rent and today's date, marks the month paid and emails a receipt — then recomputes every later month so the running balance is always right.
- Recording a partial below the amount due keeps the shortfall as a balance.
- An overpayment carries forward as a credit.
A/C and deposits show separately
If a lease has a seasonal A/C charge, each month shows "incl. $X A/C" with a snowflake icon. Verified deposits appear in their own card and never count toward what's owed. Balances under $1 are treated as paid, so stray cents never read as arrears.
