Report rent to Equifax
Reporting on-time rent to Equifax is your strongest incentive — good tenants build credit, and everyone pays on time.
Why it works
When tenants know on-time rent is reported to Equifax, they pay on time — and good tenants build their credit as a reward. Late payers feel it too. It's the single most powerful behaviour-changer in the whole platform.
Step by step
- Open Rent Management → Rent Reporting (Equifax).
- Pick the lease and confirm the rent history.
- LandlordEzy generates the monthly Equifax file. Reporting runs on a monthly cycle — keep your ledger up to date so the report is accurate.
Consent: positive vs arrears
Reporting on-time (positive) rent requires the tenant's consent, captured once through a no-login opt-in link (it stays active until they withdraw it) — see rent-reporting consent. Reporting arrears (a debt) does not require consent. The reported amount includes base rent plus any A/C charge, less manual credits.
