applied for an order determining that Aditya Bamidipati (the 'Landlord'): •collected or retained money illegally. (T1 application) •failed to meet the Landlord's maintenance obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 (the 'Act') or failed to comply with health, safety, housing, or maintenance standards. It is ordered that: 1.The Tenant’s T6 and T2 applications are dismissed. 2.In respect of the T1 application, the Landlord shall pay the Tenant a total of $4851.07 for interest on the deposit, comprised of: •$4,700.00 for the last month's rent deposit. •$451.07 for interest on the last month's rent deposit. 3.The Landlord shall also pay the Tenant $48.00 for the cost of filing the application. 4.The full amount the Landlord owes to the Tenant is:$5,199.07 5.The Landlord shall pay the Tenant the full amount owing in paragraph 6 by May 17, 2026. 6.If the Landlord does not pay the Tenant the full amount owing by May 17, 2026, the Landlord will owe interest. This will be simple interest calculated from May 18, 2026 at 4.00% annually on the balance outstanding. 7.The Tenant has the right, at any time, to collect the full amount owing or any balance outstanding under this order.
