applied for an order determining that Stanley Young (the 'Landlord') failed to meet the Landlord’s maintenance obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 (the 'Act') or failed to comply with health, safety, housing or maintenance standards. It is ordered on consent that: 1. The Landlord shall repair or replace the air conditioning unit so that it no longer produces excessive noise. 2. If the Landlord fails to complete the required repairs by June 30, 2026, the Tenant may bring a further application before the Board and seek additional remedies. 3. The Landlord shall pay the Tenant is $1,155.00. This amount represents a rent abatement for the period ending March 23, 2026. 4. The Landlord shall pay the Tenant the full amount owing by April 13, 2026. 5. If the Landlord does not pay the Tenant the full amount owing by April 13, 2026, the Landlord will owe interest. This will be simple interest calculated from April 14, 2026, at 4.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
