Assign owners to properties (co-ownership)

Link each property to one or more owners and mark the primary owner — the one all money settles against.

How it works

Properties are linked to owners on the owner record. When you add or edit an owner, you get a checklist of your properties — tick the ones they own. One owner per property is marked primary.

Co-ownership is a label, not a money split

To keep accounting simple and correct, all of the money for a property settles against its primary owner — rent collected, the management fee, and every bill. Co-owners are recorded as a label so you know who else is on title, but LandlordEzy does not split dollars across them.

Set it up

  1. Add each owner as a separate owner record.
  2. Assign the shared property to each; mark one as primary.
  3. The primary owner's ledger and statements carry all rent, fees and bills for that property.

Grouped view

The Owners list groups co-owners who share properties together, so you can see ownership groups at a glance.
