applied for an order determining that Jennah Lorentz (the 'Landlord') collected or retained money illegally. This application was scheduled to be heard by videoconference on May 05, 2026. The Tenant and the Landlord attended. The parties voluntarily participated in a Board-facilitated mediation and mutually agreed to resolve all the issues in the application. The parties requested an Order on Consent confirming their agreement. I am satisfied that the parties understood the terms and consequences of their consent as set out in the Order below.
It is ordered that: 1. The total amount the Landlord shall pay the Tenant is $1,313.00. This amount represents: • $1,265.00 for the last month's rent deposit. • $48.00 for the cost of filing the application. 2. The Landlord shall pay to the Tenant the amount set out in paragraph 1 in accordance with the following schedule: • $150.00 on or before the 15th day of each month commencing June 15, 2026, and for the next 8 months up to and including January 15, 2026; and • $113.00 on or before February 15, 2027. 3. If the Landlord does not pay the Tenant the amount owing in accordance with the payment in paragraph 2, then on the day following the date of default, the full balance owing in paragraph 1 becomes due and payable immediately, and the Landlord will start to owe File Number: LTB-T-103419- 25 Order Page 2 of 2 interest. This will be simple interest calculated annually at the post-judgment interest rate determined under subsection 207(7) of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006.
