applied for an order requiring AMANDA CAMBELL-LAPRISE A.K.A. AMANDA CAMBELL (the 'Tenant') to pay the Landlord's reasonable out-of-pocket expenses that are the result of the Tenant's failure to pay utility costs they were required to pay under the terms of the tenancy agreement (L2 application). These applications were heard by videoconference on March 17, 2026 at 09:00 am. Only the Landlord Michael Stover attended the hearing. As of 09:30 am, the Tenant was not present or represented at the hearing although properly served with notice of this hearing by the LTB. There was no record of a request to adjourn the hearing. As a result, the hearing proceeded with only the Landlord's evidence.
It is ordered that: 1. The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated effective April 5, 2026. 2. The amount the Tenant shall pay to the Landlord $16,900.00 pursuant to the L1 application. 3. The Tenant shall also pay to the Landlord $6,049.82 pursuant to the L2 application. 4. The Tenant shall also pay to the Landlord $186.00 representing the cost of filing the applications. 5. The total amount the Tenant owes the Landlord is $20,963.26.This amount represents the amount owing in rent arrears, utility costs, and filing fee les the last month’s rent deposit and interest owing. 6. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord compensation of $69.04 per day for the use of the unit starting March 18, 2026 until the date the Tenant moves out of the unit. 7. If the Tenant does not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before April 5, 2026, the Tenant will start to owe interest. This will be simple interest calculated from April 6, 2026 at 4.00% annually on the balance outstanding. 8. If the unit is not vacated on or before April 5, 2026, then starting April 6, 2026, the Landlord may file this order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced.
