applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tara Reid (the 'Tenant') and for an order to have the Tenant pay the rent they owe because the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in the order issued by the Board on with respect to application 082598- 25. A hearing was held by videoconference on March 12, 2026 to consider this application. The Landlord’s representative McKenzie Peddle attended the hearing. As of 1:45pm, the Tenant was not present or represented at the hearing although properly served with notice of this hearing by the LTB. There was no record of a request to adjourn the hearing.
It is ordered that: File Number: LTB-L-007991- 26 Order Page 2 of 3 1. Order 082598- 25 is cancelled. 2. The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before March 27, 2026. 3. If the unit is not vacated on or before March 27, 2026, then starting March 28, 2026, the Landlord may file this order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced. 4. Upon receipt of this order, the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) is directed to give vacant possession of the unit to the Landlord on or after March 28, 2026. 5. The Tenant shall pay to the Landlord $17,640.55*. This amount represents the rent owing up to March 12, 2026 and the cost of filing the previous application, less rent deposit and interest the Landlord owes on the rent deposit. 6. The Tenant shall also pay to the Landlord $82.19 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting March 13, 2026 to the date the Tenant moves out of the unit. 7. If the Tenant does not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before March 27, 2026, the Tenant will start to owe interest. This will be simple interest calculated from March 28, 2026 at 4.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
